yes! the graphics card i have been waiting to get hold.. the nvidia geforce GTX series!
there, gleaming, my new GTX 260.
look at the size difference between the GTX 260 and the 7600GT i used.
my first graphics card to be totally enclosed in sleek plastic. amazing..
the thickness.. i have to complain about this. its really too much..
power ports.. this is a power hungry sucker. 2 x 6pin connectors.
Triple SLI connector ports! i never have to use this, ever. unless i have enough cash to buy another 2 GTX 260s.
here are all the cards i currently possess. from left to right: GTX 260, 7600GT, GF3 Ti200, TNT 2.
the GTX 260 almost didnt fit my casing. it didnt fit onto the motherboard with the SATA plug in the way. so, i figured this might work.
i removed the plug casing and bent the pins 90 degrees flat. it worked! that was all. an overpowered beast in a retarded compaq computer. cheers!

oh yeah.. dumb shit.. i started work with kenny at takashimaya last monday. its delivery work; low stress job with low pay, as kenny put it.
a little after 9am every morning, we load the stuff up into the company vans and move out for delivery. work was simple. just send all the shit to customers and then head back. occasionally(or maybe quite often) some dumbass customer will abuse their customer rights. the fact that we do not wait for customers to reach home dissatisfy them. of course we dont wait for a reason.. we have other deliveries to do as well. they like to do stunts like that, complain, complain etc.
today was a bit shitty in the afternoon. first was an indian guy. he wasnt at home at the time we called him and he requested us to deliver at 3-330pm. thats ridiculous.. we dont have such delivery windows for any of our customers. apparently the sales people didnt tell them we can only deliver from 2-6pm at our own time and convenience.
then some lady wasnt at home to pick up her stuff. called her phone but there was no response. so i had to write a note.
later at some dumb condo with a dumb maid. probably dumber than me, at least. at first, she wasnt informed by her employer that there was a delivery in the afternoon. so we gave her the name of her employer to reassure her. yet she still didnt want the security to let us in.
my driver called the customer to confirm with her. and then it was A-okay to deliver.(or so we thought) we reached the lift lobby and i pressed on the fermax intercom. she mumbled some stuff about being at the door already and dropped the line. i assumed she had activated the lift and tugged all the shit in.. to find out the lift wasnt activated. came back out, called her again. same shit, tested the lift, not activated. rinse and repeat.
i called my driver over to help "negotiate" with this confused maid. i swear it was damn funny man. at the panel for the seventh time:
Maid: Aiyer! i waiting at the door! take lift to seventh floor!
Driver: the lift not activated!
Maid: press seven and come up! i outside!
Driver: i ALREADY DID!!!!!(in a frustrated whiny voice)
and this time.. magically.. the lift worked. i went up to find two maids at the lift lobby. i was thinking the neighbouring maid helped her to activate the lift after so much commotion at the intercom. she wasnt pissed at all, still smiling. must be aware of her own mistake already. sigh.
that was 20 precious minutes worth of delivery time.
at another condo much later, the maid also didnt want to let us in. she was blur about the delivery. after calling the customer up to confirm, the maid didnt answer the intercom. that was the most assy move.
luckily some guy who stayed there opened the lobby door for us to enter. i took the lift up and knocked the door.. a really nice looking young girl opened the door. and there in the distance i saw the maid sitting at the sofa with the girls younger sister. sob man. she should reconsider working as a maid under these kind of circumstances.
ah.. i remember now..
some weird couple at a condo we delivered stuff to. an ang moh in nothing but a pair of boxers opened the door halfway. he called for his partner to receive the stuff, and very soon this chubby lady with specs came to the door. she hid her lower torso behind the door all the way. i put the stuff at the door and she tried to drag the stuff behind the door like some comedy. i think she was either screwing around or they were changing to go out. i would like to think the former though. lol
saw lots of weird stuff while travelling around. there was this funny young guy in trendy clothing jumping out to the middle of the road and waited for cars to bang him. he ran in front of our vehicle and then back to the divider just as our van and a taxi zoomed past.
zzz.. its late and time for sleep. one post a month.. goodnight. im looking forward to studying.
